Access to Information (PAIA)

Effective draft: 16 October 2026

Responsible private body

Operator, office address and Information Officer are identified below. Submit access requests to the contact address, identifying the record(s) sought, the applicable right and required proof of identity or authority.

Records held

Subject to legitimate restrictions, record categories may include account registration, driver credentials, vehicle photographs, booking and service records, map location history, Paystack references, settlement books, safety complaints, provider contracts and compliance records.

Privacy and third-party disclosures

Access is subject to the privacy interests of riders and drivers, protected information, confidential financial records and other grounds for refusal under law. Data may be shared with processors and lawful recipients as described in Privacy Notice.

Request procedure and remedies

Use the applicable PAIA prescribed request form, identify the records and the right to be exercised, and pay prescribed fees if lawfully required. If a request is denied, the applicant may have external remedies via the Information Regulator or courts subject to relevant law. The Information Regulator website provides guidance and prescribed forms.

Planned transborder processing

Map, identity, communications and payment partners may operate internationally. The operator must document actual hosting locations, processors, lawful international-transfer safeguards and record-retention periods as part of its final PAIA manual and POPIA compliance programme.
